About the Author

Michael Charney is an author, publisher, management consultant, and serial obsessionist.

As an author he has published two previous books, Chasing Glenn Beck and Tea With the Mad Hatter, both of which emerged from one of his cyclical obsessions, this one having to do with politics. He has also published short stories, essays and technical articles covering a wide range of topics including politics, mainstream fiction, science fiction, technology, education and knowledge management. He has won awards for both his fiction and non-fiction, and has been published in both North America and Europe.

In 2011 he founded Riddle Brook Publishing, and has since published several works by "new New England writers." He continues to review narrative non-fiction manuscripts from beginning writers, and invites prospective authors to contact him at query@riddlebrookpublishing.com.

Originally from California, Michael graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, which he attended during the '70s. That means he only remembers some of it, but he's been told he had a great time. He subsequently received his M.A. in English from William Paterson University in New Jersey.

He now resides in New Hampshire with his wife, two dogs, and a DVR filled with episodes of Doctor Who.
